Happy World Environment Day
Let's
all try to make the day successful.
World
Environment Day is observed widely every year to raise awareness about
environmental conservation.
Each
year we are damaging our environment in many ways. Some are harming knowingly,
and some are hurting knowing everything. But we have to protect our
environment. If the environment cannot be balanced, the Earth will become
unworthy of living one day. And that's why Environment Day is celebrated yearly
to raise public awareness by keeping all the issues in mind. This year's World
Environment Day theme was finding a way to combat plastic pollution. This time
the campaign has been named 'Beat Plastic Pollution'.
Among
millions of stars in the universe, our house is in the 'solar system', the
planets revolving around the star named Sun; our 'earth' is one of them. But
till now, no other planet other than 'earth' is suitable for living.
Considering the temperature, it has a clear explanation. Viewing the near
distance from the Sun, the last planet of the Earth is Venus, and the next
planet is Mars. The interesting thing is the temperature on these three planets
is Venus (about 500 degrees C respectively.), Earth (approximately 15 degrees C.
) and Mars (approximately minus 50 degrees C. ). Considering the distance from
the Sun, the temperature on all the planets keeps rising or decreasing
respectively, which means that only Earth's temperature in the solar system is
the only animal capable of living, no one else. No other planet has all the
ingredients necessary to save life.
According
to the decision of the United Nations International Conference in 1972, 5 June
is observed worldwide with the initiative of the UN Environment Program (UNEP)
The
primary purpose of observing the day is to raise awareness among people about
the environment. This is why World Environment Day is celebrated every year in
different talents. But yet, we are all inhabitants of 'one world', and in this
same world, we have had much propaganda to establish this idea. When you go
from village to city, a village person feels close to you, in a far away
foreign country, feels like anyone from your own country, similarly, whoever it
is from a village, sub-district or district. But we don't have transportation
to any planet other than this Earth; we never had this opportunity as we belong
to the same world, called 'Earth'.
Again
in this same world, we are bound by the same thread. Various theories and
formulas have been incarnated to establish this concept in environmental
science. The concept of 'Environmental Unity' states that the whole world is a
'continuum' or a single entity. I'd instead remember a story from my childhood,
perhaps Class Seven's English book, for a better interpretation of the concept.
World Environment Day: Pollution and
Horror
Once,
various body parts started protesting against 'mouth' with the excuse that
everyone else works so much, and the mouth sits and eats. Then hands, legs and
head all stopped working. As a result, there is no food in the mouth, and the
whole body and various organs become weak and disabled. Then their tonnes moved
so that they were all different parts of the same body, not separate. Again
British environmentalist James Lovelock gives another theory in the name of the
Greek goddess 'Gaya', known as the 'Gaya Hypothesis'. That says, one step
further, the whole world is a single living entity. The forests are like the
lungs, and the rivers are their arteries, veins etc.
On
the occasion of World Environment Day, the UN is currently taking at least
three problems in the world most seriously;
1
The climate is heating up very quickly, making it almost impossible for man and
nature to adapt;
2.
Approximately one million animals and plant species are under threat of
extinction due to habitat damage and other pressure;
3.
Pollution is gradually poisoning our soil, water and air.
The
only way out of this problem is to manage our economy and society more
connected to nature and inclusive and fair. If this is confirmed, we can expect
the longevity of this only living planet. And so, besides the original theme,
emphasis on 'sustainable living in harmony with nature' is also considered the
key for this Environment Day.
Everyone
should be active in environmental awareness instead of worrying. There is still
some time left. If everyone performs their duty, then this beautiful world will
be Sujla- Sufla grain and Shyamla.
