Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

David Yates is the director of the 2007 British fantasy film Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, which was released by Warner Bros. It is based on J. K. Rowling's book of the same name. The fifth instalment in the Harry Potter film series, which was written by Michael Goldenberg and produced by David Heyman and David Barron, is the only one in the series not to include a script by Steve Kloves. The Ministry of Magic denies that Lord Voldemort has returned as the plot follows Harry Potter in his fifth year at Hogwarts.

Dolores Umbridge has recently been appointed to the position of Defence Against the Dark Arts instructor as part of a bigger scheme from the deceitful Ministry of Magic. She creates new guidelines that 'prohibit' demonstrations and limit instruction to theory exclusively. New textbooks and a new curriculum are available. She carries out mediaeval punishment and discipline. Students push back. She views resistance as being disloyal. Harry Potter is not afraid to speak the truth. He is made to write "I must not tell lies" on his hand.

How fascinating! Amazing similarities!

According to Terry Eagleton in Literary Theory: An Introduction, "There is, in fact, no need to drag politics into literary theory. It has been there from the beginning."

Impressions:

From the standpoint of power politics, this section is extremely important. Dumbledore is accused of conspiring and inciting dissent.

Harry's orphanage and mother's Muggle ancestry are two devices employed to make us feel sorry for the main character. Many people have been observed "using" their humble birth to feel sorry for themselves and win sympathy.

The news that Harry was expelled from Hogwarts because he utilised magic in the muggle world carries strong political overtones. During the postponed period, Dumbledore was not told of the timings, the Daily Prophet was used to smear Harry's reputation, and regulations and laws were utilised to harass individuals who weren't in positions of authority.

Harry's use of magic outside of a 'life-threatening' scenario is excused, according to Dumbledore, because of this. The attack by dementors was fatal.

The "truth will come out." Only the truth triumphs. These are the muggles' moral principles. Wizards hold the opinion that someone must "act" before the truth can be revealed or triumph. Without human effort, it will not succeed.

J.K. Rowling employs Dolores Umbridge to criticise the backward reformers in the educational system. She punishes Harry by having him write "I will not tell lies" even if Harry is correct about Voldemort. She stifles advancement. She supports preserving the past. She adheres to moral standards for dress and conduct. She is taking theoretical tests instead of practical ones. She is how the Ministry intrudes on the Hogwarts educational system.

Harry Potter exhibits humility. He explained to others that although he was not chosen, he had good fortune and assistance when he needed it.

The phrase "Room of Requirement" can be seen as a metaphor for realising our dreams.

Lawfulness and Occupancy: Legilimency is the process of accurately interpreting one's discoveries after miraculously travelling through the complex layers of another person's thinking. Occlumency, employed to protect one's mind from a Legilimens' invasion and control, is the antithesis of Legilimency.

When fighting monsters, one should take care to avoid turning into one themselves. Nietzsche once said that if you stare long into an abyss, it will look back at you. Harry worries about emulating Voldemort.

When Harry worries that he is acting or changing into Voldemort, Sirius Blake responds, "There are nice individuals and there are Death Eaters. What matters is how we decide to behave. Even good people contain both good and terrible qualities internally.

Dolores removes the artwork, memories, and history from the wall, leaving only "rules" behind.

Only those for whom it is can retrieve the prophecy in the glass globe. The prophecy states that "Neither can live while the other survives."

While there are many similarities between Harry and Voldemort, Harry has "Friends" that Voldemort does not.

Moral Instructions

Fear drives us to commit heinous crimes.

Working hard is necessary. However, there is something that is far more important. confidence in oneself. (Wizards, like all humans, must have faith in themselves in order for their spells to succeed.)

We are all both good and bad, thus it doesn't matter which we are. What counts is how we decide to act and who we decide to be.

Things we lose have a way of finding their way back to us.
